Martin Misliveček (1950) je studirao na Konzervatorijumu u Brnu, na Franz List Univerzitetu u Vajmaru, kao i na Centru za ranu muziku u Londonu. Kao student osvojio je važne međunarodne nagrade na takmičenjima u Markneukirchenu, Parizu i Karakasu, takođe je radio sa mnogim od vodećih čeških instrumentalista i ansamblova kao što su Prag Madrigalisti i drugi. Zajedno sa harmonikašem I.Kovalom osnovao je trio (violina, gitara, harmonika) za koji je napisan značajan broj originalnih kompozicija od čeških i stranih autora. Mislivečeka su koncertne turneje odvele izvan granica Evrope u SAD, kao i Južnu i Centralnu Ameriku. Snimao je za za Supraphon, Panton, Hohner, Pehi, Studio Principum, i za radio, uključujući BBC, Mađarski radio, radio Češke i drugih. Predaje na Univerzitetu za muziku i dramsku umetnost u Gracu a od 2004. godine je predavao nastavu gitare na Janaček Akademiji u Brnu. Misliveček je čest gost na majstorskim kursevima, festivalima i žirijima na međunarodnim takmičenjima. On je jedan od osnivača češke gitarske fondacije, festivala horova „Kampanila“ u Mikulovu i jedna je od vodećih ličnosti na Festivalu gitare u Mikulovu.
Martin Mysliveček (1950) studied at Brno Conservatory, at Franz Liszt University in Weimar and the Early Music Center in London. As a student he won important international awards at competitions in Markneukirchen, Paris, and Caracas; he also worked with many of the leading Czech instrumentalists and ensembles such as the Prague Madrigalists and others. Together with accordionist I. Koval he founded a trio (violin, guitar, accordion). A number of original compositions were written for this group by Czech and foreign authors. Martin Mysliveček’s concert tours have taken him outside of Europe to the USA, and South and Central America. He has recorded on gramophone and CD for Supraphon, Panton, Hohner, Pehy, Studio Principum, and for radio including the BBC, Hungarian Radio, Czech Radio, and others. He is professor at the University for Music and the Dramatic Arts in Graz and since 2004 he has taught guitar classes at the Janáček Academy in Brno. Martin Mysliveček is frequently invited to courses, festivals, and to serve on juries at international competitions. He is a co-founder of the Czech Guitar Foundation, of the Choir Festival “Kampanila” in Mikulov and has been one of the leading figures at the Guitar Festival in Mikulov.
