Branko Barnić diplomirao je na Akademiji Umetnosti u Novom Sadu, u klasi profesora mr. Zorana Krajišnika. U toku osnovnih studija a i kasnije, učestvovao je na seminarima, master-klasovima i radionicama svetski renomiranih gitarista kao što su: Oddair Assad, Pavel Steidl, Roland Dyens, Dušan Bogdanović, Miroslav Tadić, Scott Tenant. U jesen 2013. godine odlazi na dalje usavršavanje u SAD gde najpre stiče „Performer“ diplomu na Univerzitetu u Indijani – „Jacobs School of Music“, u klasi maestra Ernesta Bitetija a zatim završava master studije na Minnesota Univerzitetu u Minneapolisu, u klasi profesorke Maje Radovanlije. Za vreme post-diplomskih studija bio je asistent na katedri za gitaru, gde je držao grupnu i individualnu nastavu gitare, i Istoriju Rock’n’roll-a. Koncertno aktivan od 2003. je nastupao kao solista, član raznih kamernih ansambala (duo sa flautom, violinom, trio gitara) i kao solista sa orkestrom. Od 2013. aktivno nastupa u Americi solo i u duu sa gitaristkinjom Milenom Petković. Duo je ostvario mnogo nastupa, od kojih su značajniji  „Lower Town Classics (2015), MAGEF-IN (2015), Minnesota Guitar Society Guitarathon (2016)“ i nekoliko snimaka za „Guitar Salon International“ u Los Anđelesu (2017). Značajno težište njegovih aktivnosti je svakako i pedagoški rad. U periodu od 2004. do 2013. bio je zaposlen u muzičkoj školi „Josif Marinković“, na mestu profesora gitare. Učenici iz njegove klase osvajali su nagrade na takmičenjima a neki su nastavili studije u zemlji i inostranstvu. U periodu 2015-2017 predavao je gitaru na “the Saint Paul Conservatory of Music” i u muzičkoj školi “St. Joseph’s” u Saint Paul-u, Minnesota. Od septembra 2017. predaje gitaru u muzičkoj školi “Josif Marinković” u Zrenjaninu.

During the basic studies and later, he participated in seminars, master classes and workshops with the worlds renowned guitarists such are: Oddair Assad, Pavel Steidl, Roland Dyens, Dusan Bogdanovic, Miroslav Tadic, Scott Tenant. In the autumn of 2013, he goes to further his training in the United States, where he first acquires an „Performer“ degree at the University of Indiana – „Jacobs School of Music“, in the class of maestro Ernesto Biteti and then finishes his master studies at Minnesota University in Minneapolis, in the class of Professor Maja Radovanlije. During his post-graduate studies, he was an assistant at the guitar department, where he held group and individual guitar lessons, and Rock’n’roll history. He has been active since 2003 as soloist, member of various chamber ensembles (duo with flute, violin, trio guitar) and as a soloist with an orchestra. Since 2013 he has been actively performing in the US, solo and in a duo with guitarist Milena Petkovic. The Duo has performed a lot of performances, some of which are „Lower Town Classics (2015), MAGEF-IN (2015), Minnesota Guitar Society Guitarathon (2016)“ and several recordings for „Guitar Salon International“ in Los Angeles (2017). Significant focus of his activities is certainly pedagogical work. In the period from 2004 to 2013, he was employed at the „Josif Marinkovic“ Music School in Zrenjanin, as a guitar teacher. Students from his class has won awards at competitions, and some continued their studies at home and abroad. In the period of 2015-2017, he taught guitar at the „Saint Paul Conservatory of Music“ and in the music school „St. Joseph’s „in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Since September 2017 he has been teaching a guitar at the „Josif Marinković“ Music School in Zrenjanin.
