( Leo Brouwer, Havana_2011)
Uprkos postignutom uspehu, Karamazov i dalje održava nenajavljene ulične nastupe. Njegova solo diskografija, u izdanju kuće Decca records, uključuje i nagrađivane albume „Come, Heavy Sleep“ („….Karamazov svira kao Bog…“ Le Monde,2004) i „The Lute Is a Song“ („… Karamazov je čarobnjak …Los Angeles times,2009) na kojem Edinu gostuju Renee Fleming, Andreas Scholl, Kaliopi i Sting. Edin je dobio brojna priznanja među kojima vredi izdvojiti Edison-Preis Amsterdam 2001, Grammy nominaciju 2002, Grand Prix du Disque 2004, Brit Classical Award nominaciju 2006, Premio Goffredo Petrassi za najboljeg instrumentalistu u 2007. godini i Premio Cubadisco 2009. za najboljeg inostranog muzičara na Kubi. Ove koncertne sezone Edin Karamazov gostuje u Australiji, Evropi i Južnoj Americi.
“When Karamazov plays there’s magic in the air. It’s not just playing outside the historic context, but putting an expressive spin on music (…) and then it turns into a generation of art that creates other than recreates. Not everybody can do that.”

Edin Karamazov has established himself as today’s most exciting and charismatic player of guitar and lute, garnering rave reviews and critical acclaim across Europe and America for his dazzlingly virtuosic and emotionally committed performances of an adventurous repertoire that ranges from sixteenth-century classics to the music of today. He made his solo debut as a lutenist in 1998. Significantly, it was as a last-minute substitute for the legendary Julian Bream, the player who had single-handedly led the modern revival of interest in the lute a generation earlier. Since then Edin Karamazov has performed and recorded as a soloist with many major international early-music ensembles and artists, notably the countertenor Andreas Scholl. A consummate interpreter and master technician on a wide variety of plucked instruments from disparate cultures and epochs, he is also an outstanding recitalist and has appeared at such prestigious venues as the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Berlin Philharmonie, Vienna Konzerthaus , Orchard Hall Tokyo, Sydney Opera,Wigmore Hall and National Centre of performing Arts in Beijing, among others. Despite all his success, however, he still enjoys giving impromptu performances on the street. As he says, looking back to his early days performing with a travelling circus, “Music remains a kind of circus to me!” But it is his recent collaboration with the multi-Grammy Award-winning pop star Sting, on a series of live concerts and recordings of music by the Elizabethan singer-songwriter John Dowland, that has not only made him a household name far beyond the confines of the early-music world but also launched a new “lute renaissance” for the twenty-first century. Edin Karamazov’s discography also includes a coupling of Britten’s Nocturnal after John Dowland and two collaborations with Andreas Scholl lute-songs on A Musicall Banquet and folk songs on Wayfaring Stranger (both on Decca). His latest Decca solo album „The Lute is a Song“ featuring voices of Renee Fleming, Kaliopi, Sting and Andreas Scholl has won worldwide critical acclaim. For his work Edin is awarded with Edison preis 2001, Grammy nomination 2002, Brit Classical award 2006, premio Goffredo Petrasi for the best instrumentalist in Italy and premio Cuba disco 2010 .
