GERGELY BARTA

Harmonija Kordis 2023. i 2025. (3. mesto u obe godine); Međunarodni festival gitare Verija 2024. i
2025. (specijalna nagrada u solo kategoriji 2024. i 2025. godine, 2. mesto u kategoriji koncerata 2025.
godine); Vojvođanski festival klasične gitare 2025. (1. mesto) i Bečki forum gitare 2025. (2. mesto).
kulturi danas. Kao gitarista, radim i na proširenju svog repertoara, prerađujući solo, duo i kvartet dela
kako bih dosegao još širu publiku.

I had the opportunity to begin my musical education at a very young age, starting in kindergarten. My mother took me to solfège classes, where my musical talent quickly became apparent. I began playing the guitar at the local music school in my hometown, Csongrád. Since the age of nine, the guitar has been an inseparable part of my life.

After six years of study at the music school, I enrolled at the Segedin Conservatory, where I had the privilege of studying under Professor Andrea Bozóki. She was the first person I could truly call my mentor, as she revealed a side of music and artistry that I had never imagined before. Four years later, I was admitted to the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest, where I am currently a fifth-year student focusing on music education.

I consider myself exceptionally fortunate to study under the internationally renowned András Csáki. With his guidance, I have participated in several international competitions with significant success. My achievements include:

  • Harmonia Cordis Guitar Festival (2023 & 2025): 3rd Place in both years.
  • Veria International Guitar Festival: Special Prize in the solo category (2024 & 2025) and 2nd Place in the concerto category (2025).
  • Vojvodina Festival of Classical Guitar (2025): 1st Place.
  • Vienna Guitar Forum (2025): 2nd Place.

Additionally, during my university years, I spent a semester at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam through the „Erasmus+“ program, studying under Gabriel Bianco.

As a musician, I believe it is vital to take our profession—both as performers and classical guitarists—seriously. I am committed to doing everything in my power to ensure that classical guitar remains relevant and embraced in today’s culture. Furthermore, I am actively working on expanding my repertoire by arranging solo, duo, and quartet works to reach an even broader audience.
