Ilija Tošić, rođen 1992. godine u Smederevskoj Palanci, započeo je svoje muzičko obrazovanje sa 10 godina, u muzičkoj školi „Božidar Trudić“ kod nastavnika Miloša Adžića. Sa 14 godina preselio se u Beograd, gde je nastavio školovanje u Muzičkoj školi „Dr. Vojislav Vučković“, u klasi profesora Zorana Anića, i tamo maturirao 2011. godine. Potom se seli u Nemačku, gde je primljen na „Koblenz International Guitar Academy“, usavršavajući se kod Gorana Krivokapića, Aniella Desiderija i Huberta Käppela. Od 2013. do 2021. godine studira na Visokoj školi za muziku i ples u Kelnu (Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln), gde je diplomirao i završio master studije sa najvišim ocenama, u klasi prof. Huberta Käppela. Tokom školovanja usavršavao se na majstorskim kursevima kod istaknutih umetnika poput Dušana Bogdanovića, Rolanda Dyensa, Pepea Romera i Judicaëla Perroya. Dobitnik je više priznanja, među kojima se izdvajaju Grand Prix na takmičenju „Premio Scarlatti“ u Vilnjusu (Litvanija) i treća nagrada na Međunarodnom gitarističkom takmičenju „Ilse & Nicolas Alfonso“ u Briselu (Belgija). Bio je i stipendista organizacije Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now e.V. Tošićev repertoar obuhvata dela od baroka do savremene i svetske muzike, što potvrđuje njegovu svestranost kao umetnika. Nastupa kao solista i kamerni muzičar na međunarodnim scenama, sarađujući sa orkestrima i ansamblima kao što su Düsseldorfer Symphoniker, gudački kvartet Čiurlionis i drugi. Od 2018. godine svira na gitari koju je izradio Daniele Chiesa. U junu 2024. godine objavio je svoj debitantski CD pod nazivom Recital – A Depiction of the 20th Century. Pored izvođačke delatnosti, Ilija Tošić predaje gitaru na Rajnskoj muzičkoj školi u Kelnu (Rheinische Musikschule).

Ilija Tošić, born in Smederevska Palanka in 1992, began his musical education at the age of 10 at the „Božidar Trudić“ Music School with teacher Miloš Adžić. At the age of 14, he moved to Belgrade, where he continued his education at the „Dr. Vojislav Vučković“ Music School, in the class of Professor Zoran Anić, graduating in 2011.
He then moved to Germany, where he was accepted into the „Koblenz International Guitar Academy,“ perfecting his skills with Goran Krivokapić, Aniello Desiderio, and Hubert Käppel. From 2013 to 2021, he studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln (Cologne University of Music and Dance), where he graduated and completed his master’s studies with top honors, in the class of Prof. Hubert Käppel.
During his schooling, he honed his skills through masterclasses with distinguished artists such as Dušan Bogdanović, Roland Dyens, Pepe Romero, and Judicaël Perroy. He is the recipient of several awards, notably the Grand Prix at the „Premio Scarlatti“ competition in Vilnius (Lithuania) and the third prize at the „Ilse & Nicolas Alfonso“ International Guitar Competition in Brussels (Belgium). He was also a scholarship holder of the Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now e.V. organization.
Tošić’s repertoire spans works from the Baroque era to contemporary and world music, confirming his versatility as an artist. He performs as a soloist and chamber musician on international stages, collaborating with orchestras and ensembles such as the Düsseldorfer Symphoniker, the Čiurlionis String Quartet, and others. Since 2018, he has played a guitar made by Daniele Chiesa. In June 2024, he released his debut CD titled Recital – A Depiction of the 20th Century. In addition to his performing career, Ilija Tošić teaches guitar at the Rheinische Musikschule (Rhenish Music School) in Cologne.
