Katarzina Smolarek je poljska gitaristkinja rođena 1995. godine. Počela je da svira gitaru sa 8 godina. Učila je klasičnu gitaru u poljskim muzičkim školama kod prof. Lidia Przyłęcka i prof. Ryszard Bałauszko. Godine 2015. započela je studije na Univerzitetu Mozarteum u Salzburgu kod profesora Marca Diaz-Tamaia.

Dobitnica je preko 20 nagrada na domaćim i međunarodnim takmičenjima, od kojih se izdvajaju:

II nagrada na Internationales Gitarrenfestival des Kunstinstituts BAJA v Templinie (Nemačka) 2007.
I nagrada na Međunarodnom gitarskom festivalu u Trzesaczu (Poljska) 2009. godine
III nagrada na Međunarodnom gitarskom festivalu Czesłava Drozdzievicz u Krinica-Zdroj (Poljska) 2010. i 2012. godine
III nagrada na Transilvanija gitarskom festivalu u Cluj-Napoca (Rumunija) 2012. godine
III nagrada na Međunarodnom gitarskom takmičenju „Forum Gitarre Vien“ – omladinska kategorija, u Beču (Austrija) 2012. godine
II nagrada na Međunarodnom takmičenju gitare „Cithara Ignea“ u Żory (Poljska) 2016. godine
I nagrada na Sidnei Eistedfodd gitarskom takmičenju u Sidneju (Australija) 2016. godine
II nagrada na takmičenju L. Luthier u Bratislavi (Slovačka) i 2016. godini
II nagrada na Salzburg Guitar Fest takmičenju 2017. godine
I nagrada na takmičenju gitare Sinaia (Rumunija) 2017. godine
II nagrada na Concurso Musical-u Dr. Luis Sigall (Čile) 2017. godine
I nagrada na Međunarodnom festivalu gitare Sanremo (Italija) 2017. godine
II nagrada na „51. međunarodnom takmičenju Chitarra Classica „Michele Pittaluga“ u Alesandriji (Italija) 2018. godine
II nagrada na Međunarodnom takmičenju gitare mladih talenata u Uppsali, Švedska

 

Katarzyna Smolarek is a Polish guitarist born in 1995. She started playing the guitar at the age of  8. She was studying classical guitar in Polish music schools with professor Lidia Przyłęcka and professor Ryszard Bałauszko. In 2015 she started her bachelor degree at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg with professor Marco Diaz-Tamayo. She was awarded over 20 prizes at national and international competitions the most important of which are:
