XHEVDET SAHATXHIJA

Xhevdet Sahatxhija diplomirao je na Muzičkoj akademiji u Zagrebu u klasi prof. Darka Petrinjaka. Dugo godina je radio kao profesor gitare u Muzičkoj školi Pavla Markovcu u Zagrebu. Umetnički savetnik je na Akademiji za umetnost i kulturu u Osijeku, predavač na Muzičkoj Akademiji u Zagrebu i na Fakultetu lepih umetnosti u Prištini. Obrazovao je mnoge naraštaje mladih gitarista od kojih su mnogi osvojili vrijedne nagrade na međunarodnim i državnim takmičenjima a danas su priznati umetnici i muzički pedagozi. Učestvovao je na mnogim renomiranim festivalima kao što su: Anna Amalia u Weimaru (Nemačka), Guitar Art Festival, Enrico Mercatali u Goriziji (Italija), Mörska Sobota i Svirel u Sloveniji, Zagreb Guitar Fest, Sarajevo Guitar Fest, Poreč Fest, Split Guitar Fest, Tirana Guitar Festival, Omiš Guitar Fest, Daleki akordi, Tremolo Skopje, Ohrid Summer Guitar Academy (Severna Makedonija), ESMA (Kosovo)… Dobitnik je Godišnje nagrade Hrvatskog društva glazbenih plesnih pedagoga za 2004. godinu. U razdoblju od 2003. do 2009. godine bio je voditelj stručnih veća za učitelje gitare i mentor mladim nastavnicima. Od 2010. do 2017. godine bio je predsednik Hrvatske udruge gitarskih pedagoga. U razdoblju od 2009. do 2014. godine bio je direktor Glazbene škole u Novskoj. Pre četiri godine promovisan je u zvanje mentora. Uz redovan pedagoški rad vodio je Međunarodnu letnu gitarsku školu u Pučišćima i Milni na Braču, a zadnjih godina u Poreču. Umjetnički direktor jej Peja International Guitar Festival-a. Član je mnogih žirij na međunarodnim, državnim i regionalnim takmičenjima. Uz pedagoški rad nastupa solo ili kao član raznih komernih sastava na koncertima u zemlji i inostranstvu.

Xhevdet Sahatxhija graduated from the Music Academy in Zagreb in the class of prof. Darko Petrinjak. Many years he worked as a guitar teacher at the Pavle Markovac Music School in Zagreb. He is an artistic advisor at the Academy of Arts and Culture in Osijek, a lecturer at the Academy of Music in Zagreb and at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Pristina. He educated many generations of young guitarists, many of whom have won prestigious awards at international and national competitions, and today are recognized artists and music pedagogues. He has participated in many renowned festivals such as: Anna Amalia in Weimar (Germany), Guitar Art Festival, Enrico Mercatali in Gorizia (Italy), Mörska Sobota and Svirel in Slovenia, Zagreb Guitar Fest, Sarajevo Guitar Fest, Poreč Fest, Split Guitar Fest, Tirana Guitar Festival, Omis Guitar Fest, Far Chords, Tremolo Skopje, Ohrid Summer Guitar Academy (Northern Macedonia), ESMA (Kosovo)… Winner of the Annual Award of the Croatian Society of Music Dance Educators for 2004. From 2003 to 2009, he was the head of professional councils for guitar teachers and a mentor to young teachers. From 2010 to 2017, he was the president of the Croatian Association of Guitar Educators. In the period from 2009 to 2014, he was the director of the Music School in Novska. Four years ago, he was promoted to the title of mentor. In addition to his regular pedagogical work, he led the International Summer Guitar School in Pučišća and Milna on Brač, and in recent years in Poreč and he is artistic director is the Peja International Guitar Festival. He is a member of many juries at international, national and regional competitions. In addition to pedagogical work, he performs solo or as a member of various chamber ensembles at concerts in the country and abroad.
