Započeo je studiranje klasične gitare u šesnaestoj godini na Escuela Superior de Musica (ESM) u Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes (INBA) u Meksiko Sitiju sa prof. Alejandrom Mendezom. Diplomirao je sa prof. Norman Ruiz u Čikagu, na Kolumbija koledžu. Nastupao je u Meksiku, Sjedinjenim Državama i Španiji i dobio priznanje  Udruženja američkih muzičara. Na takmičenju u Evanstonu, Illinois, osvojio je prvu nagradu, na Aranjuez koncertnom takmičenju uWheatonu u Illinoisu, osvojio nagradu za Koncertno izvođaštvo, Universidad de Colima instituta Universitario de Bellas Artes u Meksiku, osvojio jei  priznanje na Međunarodnom gitarskom festivalu i takmičenju u Indijani a finalista je i World Guitar Competition, Novi Sad, Srbija. Ivan je pohađao majstorske kurseve sa Pamela Kimmel, Denis Azabagić, Pablo Garibai, Jaime Soria i Lorenzo Michelli. Trenutno živi u Čikagu (SAD) gde je organizator „Prvog latinoameričkog gitarskog festivala“.

 

Edgar Resendiz (1984, Mexico / USA)   began his study of classical guitar at the age of sixteen at the Escuela Superior de Música (ESM) del Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes (INBA) in Mexico City with Alejandro Mendez. He graduated with prof. Norman Ruiz in Chicago, at Columbia College. He has performed in Mexico, the United States and Spain and has received an Honorable Mention at the Society of American Musicians Competition in Evanston, Illinois, received First Prize in the “Aranjuez’s Concerto Competition” in Wheaton, Illinois, won the Concert of Excellence Prize from the Universidad de Colima Instituto Universitário de Bellas Artes in Colima, Mexico, awarded an Honorable Mention at the Indiana International Guitar Festival and Competition and he is a finalist of the World Guitar Competition, Novi Sad, Serbia. Ivan has attended master classes with Pamela Kimmel, Denis Azabagic, Pablo Garibay, Jaime Soria, and Lorenzo Michelli. He currently lives in Chicago (USA) wher he is the organizer of the “First Latin American Guitar Festival” .
